  • 800g lean ground beef (or turkey/chickpeas)
  • 20g butter (or olive oil)
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 100g chopped white onion
  • 75g each red, green & yellow bell peppers
  • 140g light cream cheese
  • 50g shredded mozzarella
  • 240g dry macaroni (whole wheat or chickpea pasta)
  • Salt, pepper, paprika & chili flakes (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Boil macaroni in salted water until al dente; reserve 125ml pasta water before draining.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté garlic, onion, and bell peppers for about 4–5 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef or turkey; cook until browned (5–7 minutes). Drain excess fat and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes.
  4. Reduce heat and stir in cream cheese, mozzarella, and cheese slices until melted into a creamy sauce.
  5. Mix in cooked pasta and reserved water until well combined. Adjust consistency as needed.
