  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 fresh strawberries, halved

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pâte Sucrée dough and press into tartlet pans. Freeze for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Bake the shells for 10-15 minutes until golden brown, then cool completely.
  3. To make strawberry jam, cook chopped strawberries with sugar in a saucepan until thickened.
  4. For the pastry cream, heat sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, and heavy cream; combine with egg yolks and cornstarch, stirring until thickened. Chill.
  5. Assemble by spreading strawberry jam in each shell, piping pastry cream on top, and garnishing with fresh strawberries.
