Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.3 pounds ground beef
  • 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 yellow onion (grated)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 yellow onion (diced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp chopped dill (more for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix grated onion, ground beef, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, heavy cream, and egg until just combined. Shape into four patties about ¾ inch thick.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Remove patties and set aside on a plate. In the same skillet, sauté diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add salt, pepper, and flour; stir well. Pour in chicken broth while scraping up browned bits from the skillet.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and dill; bring to a boil before returning patties to the skillet. Simmer for an additional 5-6 minutes until heated through.
