  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (cold and cubed)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, granulated sugar, and cinnamon for the crust; press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese until smooth; add granulated sugar, eggs one at a time, and vanilla extract until combined. Pour over the crust.
  4. Toss diced apples with lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg; spread evenly over the cheesecake layer.
  5. Mix flour with brown sugar and cut in cold butter until crumbly; sprinkle over apples.
  6. Bake for about 45 minutes until set. Cool completely before cutting.
  7. For caramel sauce: Cook granulated sugar and water until dissolved; let it turn golden before adding heavy cream, butter, and salt.
